Man made and natural incidents happen within and across interconnected organizations every day. Many of these events are caused by security breaches and can cascade out of control to become crises and disasters that can threaten the very existence of organizations. Topics include a systems-wide and strategic perspective of information security and assurance, and approaches and methods for protecting information assets, determining the levels of protection, and response to security incidents, and designing a consistent, reasonable informatin secruity system, with appropriate intrusion detection and reporting features, and information security and staffing functions.
