EDUC 617 School Ldrshp & Sp Educ

The course acquaints school administrators (superintendents, principals, supervisors) with professional problems associated with special education. School leaders will examine all aspects of special education including its history, philosophy, federal, state and local regulations, as well as trends and strategies to accommodate diverse learners. The course focuses on a special education from the perspective of school administrators by developing a building leverl and districtwide understanding of the administrative necessities of special education regulations. Normally offered Summer session only.
