PSYC 574 Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy

Investigation of behavioral and cognitive intervention strategies. Covers traditional behavioral therapies (e.g., token economy, systematic desensitization), cognitivebehavioral therapies (modeling, stress inoculation training, Beck's cognitive therapy), and "third wave" approaches including mindfulness and psychotherapy integration. Training in the use of specific assessment and intervention strategies (tapes, demonstrations, pre-practicum experiences). Normally offered in Fall semester only.
