ARCH 125 History and Theory of Architecture I

The first in a series of three interrelated courses, this course examines global architectural history and theory from the prehistoric period around 500,000 BCE to the end of the 15th century (c. 1500 CE). Utilizing built projects, drawings, and theoretical texts as ways to consider concepts of technical, sociocultural, political, religious, philosophical, and aesthetic underpinnings.
