ENGL 170 Studies in Literature and Writing

Introduction to the discipline of English and the practices of literary and writing studies, including (but not limited to) close reading, research in the discipline, principles of literary and rhetorical analysis, and conventions of various genres of literature and writing. Prerequisite: ENGL 160. Required for English literature, writing, and English/secondary education majors
