HIST 260 Introduction to Historical Research
This course is designed to prepare students for upper division courses in History as well as to integrate the objectives of the History Program. Topics covered in the course include identifying and critiquing historical arguments, following the Chicago Manual of Style, understanding the use of historiography, recognizing different schools of historical methods and conceptualization, and using primary and secondary sources as evidence. This course is required of all History, History/Political Science, and History/Political Science/Pre-Law majors.
HIST 260 is a prerequisite of
HIST 460 Seminar in History.
