LANG 498A Study Tour to Western Europe
The study tour to Western Europe is open to beginning, intermediate and advanced speakers of a foreign language. This course is designed to benefit language majors as well as other students who may need this type of experience for professional purposes. The objective of the course is to broaden personal and academic horizons through international travel. This field experience will enrich the student's knowledge of European cultures and provide the student with an opportunity to use the target language in real-life contexts. Prior to departure, the student will be expected to do research on the countries and cities to be visited. The student will become familiar with the major monuments, museums, and other points of interest included on the tour. The student will also develop a general knowledge of the political and historical events which have affected the regions to be visited.
