SW 250 Contemporary Social Work Practice

Provides the student with a generalist model for engaging in social work practice. Analyzes the NASW (National Association of Social Workers) Code of Ethics and focuses on the development of helping skills which are essential in working with a variety of client systems. Particular emphasis is placed on the development of interviewing skills through role play and analysis of video vignettes of professional situations. Normally offered in Spring semester only.
