PSYC 660J ST: Sem: Implctns Trma Rslnc Acrss Lfsp
In this seminar style course (1.5 credits), students will gain a better understanding of the role of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on long-term physical and mental health. We will explore types of trauma, risk factors, and associated outcomes as well as how to promote resilience in clients. Clinical examples will be shared and best-practice methods for working with trauma will be explored. Students will create a self-care plan that will be utilized throughout the course.
