Multimedia Communication Practicum (6 credits)

Students take six one-credit courses designed to offer them hands-on field experience in their areas of study through work at our department organizations, which include 91.7 WVMW, TV Marywood, The Wood Word, and the campus chapter of the Society for Collegiate Journalists. Additionally a regular one-hour course offers students training in professional development topics including mentorship, leadership, and career-readiness.

Students may take one (1) additional practicum as an elective (7 credits total). Additional credits may be taken with the approval of the program coordinator and the chairperson. All students, including transfer students, must take six (6) practica. An internship may be substituted for three (3) credits with the approval of the program coordinator and the chairperson.
