HIST 151 Intro to Black Studies
This course explores important concepts and developments of Black people in the diaspora in the Americas (the US, Caribbean, and Latin America) in their historical, cultural, social, and political dimensions from the colonial period to the present.? Topics to be discussed include resistance to oppression, the complexities of Black cultural production, and major achievements within Black intellectual traditions in the Americas.
