IARC 399B ST: Detailing Interior Architecture
The detail as an expression of design intention. Interior detailing involves the focused examination of how materials are selected, joined, manipulated, and applied. Materials research of historically significant interior details will aid the student's technical knowledge of the subject. Drawings will be developed at large scales (1:1, 1:2, 1:5) to better understand specific detailing methods. Mock-ups of prototypical details will complement the drawings and emphasis will be placed on sustainable building materials and fastening systems. Cross listed with
