CJ 470O ST: Cybercrime

This course provides an overview of Cybercrime and the digital and offline law enforcement practices that have emerged to respond to this 21st century threat. This course will also overview how social researchers theoretically frame and gather data on these types of crimes. Finally, it will review how local and global Criminal Justice Systems respond to these types of digital crimes, the various constitutional protections afforded to computer users, and the law and policies that govern Cybercrime detection and prosecution.
