RST 112 Encountering Faith

This course is an introduction to both the comparative study of world religions and the discipline of Christian theology. In the course, students will learn about the Bible, the Christian understanding of Jesus, and the Catholic intellectual tradition. Students will also develop a critical self-awareness by articulating their own worldview in the context of interfaith dialogue with at least two additional world religions. The course emphasizes the dialogical skills necessary to encounter people of diverse faiths and worldviews and to live responsibly in an interdependent world.
