SW 400 Crisis Interventioný& Groups: Thry & Prc

This course is designed as an introduction to the various types of crisis situations social workers may encounter. The course provides students with knowledge in the theories related to crisis intervention. In addition, the course offers various crisis intervention strategies and techniques that the student can utilize to empower those currently undergoing a crisis. This course includes social work principles and methods of crisis intervention at the micro, mezzo and macro levels and for many different situations, such as domestic violence, community violence, homelessness, psychiatric crisis and abuse and neglect.
