PSYC 625 Introduction to Private Practice in Psychology

This course provides doctoral level students with a comprehensive overview of the fundamental principles and practices involved in establishing and managing a private practice in psychology. Topics covered include ethical considerations, legal requirements, business development, marketing strategies, financial management, client care, and self-care. Through readings, case studies, discussions, guest speakers from the community, and practical exercises, students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to embark on a successful career in private practice.
