Program Requirements (54 credits)
The Photography program incorporates photographic history, the study of basic visual elements, conceptual development, research, studio technique, and strategies for problem solving. Courses combine fine art training with commercial applications to prepare students for a career in photography. Class critiques and discussions are emphasized. Students will explore technical skills in the darkroom, the lighting studio, the field, and the digital lab along with best practices for digital imaging, alternative processes, and more. The goal is to provide each student with the environment and support in which to develop a professional visual portfolio.
