COUN 519 Grief and Loss
This graduate course will provide students with introductory knowledge of the impact of grief and loss experienced across the lifespan. This course will provide an overview of theories and the stages of grief; typical and extreme reactions to grief and loss; the role of culture in the grief experience; assessment and management of the physical, emotional, behavioral, and spiritual reactions to grief and loss; ambiguous loss and non-death loss; and counselor self-care.
