Multi Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) is a framework that includes universal screening of all students, multiple tiers of support services, and an integrated data collection and assessment system to inform decisions at each tier of support. This experiential course will address the school counselor's roles and responsibilities at each tier. Topics will include screening procedures, positive behavior programs, functional behavioral analysis, behavior modification strategies, crisis intervention, and referrals. Information regarding the needs of diverse learners will be emphasized.
