EDUC 617 School Leadership and Special Education

The course acquaints school administrators (superintendents, principals, special education supervisors) with professional issues related special education. School leaders will examine all aspects of special education programming including its history, philosophy, and current federal, state and local regulations for serving a diverse population of learners. Current trends and strategies will be examined from the perspective of the school administrator with a focus on developing a shared vision for special education leadership through an understanding of the administrative necessities of special education regulations.
