AT 534 Cultural Humility in Art Therapy

This course is designed to stimulate awareness and understanding of the need to cultivate an active sense of cultural humility in engagement with others, focusing on the context of engagement in clinical and/or therapeutic relationships with culturally diverse clients. Students will become knowledgeable of the holistic concept of cultural humility and the distinction between cultural humility and cultural competence. Students will be provided opportunities and experientials to immerse themselves in culture-specific learning.
