PA 303 Culturally Competent Medicine and Underserved Populations

Culturally Competent Medicine and Underserved Populations starts by building a foundation in the principles of cultural competence, medical ethics, epidemiology and interprofessional collaboration. The course further delves into health care disparities and the challenges faced by vulnerable and underserved populations. Students utilize their foundational knowledge to examine the impact of race, ethnicity, language, religion, gender, sexual orientation and socieoeconomic status on health care delivery and management.
