PA 305 Medical Procedures II

Medical Procedures II is the second of a two-course series. Students learn and display competency in clinical skills required for clinical practice including, but not limited to: venipuncture, intravenous catheters, injections, cerumen removal, urinalysis, splinting/casting, joint aspiration and injection, urinary catheter placement, nasogastric tube placement, lumbar puncture, chest tube placement, central venous line placement, sterile technique, surgical scrub/gown/glove, wound closure - suturing and stapling, and wound care.
