Art Therapy, Master of Arts

(60 Credits)

The Marywood University Graduate Art Therapy program follows the guidelines of the American Art Therapy Association (AATA).

Furthermore, the Marywood University Graduate Art Therapy Program is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and Accreditation Council for Art Therapy Education (ACATE).

The graduate curriculum is a 60-credit degree program consisting of courses in Art Therapy, Psychology, studio arts, and practicum/internship.

Requirements of the program include:

  • 39 credits in Art Therapy
  • 6 credits in Psychology and/or Counseling
  • 6 credits in studio arts 
  • 9 credits in elective coursework
