ART 340 Artworld Study Tour

An interactive investigation of contemporary art theory and practice, including prevailing ideas and attitudes, prominent and emerging artists, institutions and seats of influence. This course takes the form of a seminar with an integrated studio component, and includes trips to galleries and museums in New York City and else­where, in addition to on­campus research and studio work. The course is designed to give studio majors an overview of the international art context, and a sense of fluency with contemporary art discourse.
