PA 550 Pharmacology I

Pharmacology I is the second of a three-course series. It provides the student an opportunity to examine the structure and function of various classes of drugs. The relationship between action of drug and its effect on the body is emphasized. Factors affecting action of drugs, pharmaceutical calculations, therapeutic drug monitoring and drug safety are also discussed. Pharmaceutical considerations for pediatric and geriatric populations are included in the curriculum. Established medication/treatment regimens along with emerging therapies are illustrated.
